Software Engineer – .NET / C# Developer

We are seeking to hire is a software engineer for our IT department. The position will be located in our headquarters in midtown Manhattan. The ideal candidate enjoys working with users to understand business requirements and is passionate about designing and implementing high quality software to solve these needs.
Full SDLC experience including: o Interaction with business users, understanding business needs, documenting requirements and ability to create technical solutions for these needs
Software design including documentation (e.g. flowcharts, sequence diagrams, etc.)
Implementation of high-quality code. Focus on maintainability and testability
Design and build unit and acceptance tests
Troubleshoot and support user issues
Software development experience with .NET or Java:
Understanding of software engineering concepts such as complexity, data structures, etc.
- Experience with software design principles and patterns
- Good knowledge and experience with OO design and development
- Database development with SQL server or similar
- Excellent understanding of relational data model
Experience designing and building tables, views, SPs, etc. o Reasonable understanding of indexing, query analyzer, performance tuning
Microsoft .Net technologies (WCF, WPF, etc.) as well as other UI technologies (HTML5)
Understanding and experience with functional languages (F#, Scala, etc.)
Knowledge and experience with NoSQL databases (Mongo, Cassandra, etc.)
Experience with CD/CI and devops automation
Minimum of 5 years software development experience
BSc in software engineering or equivalent
