Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
· 5-10 years of experience as a Systems Engineer, preferably in a financial services firm
· The ability to work weekends and travel to remote offices
· Good communication skills, ability to interact comfortably and constructively with other team members and management
· Proficient with the technologies outlined under “Responsibility:”
Responsibility:
· Supporting VMware, Windows, and Linux operating systems
· Deploying, configuring, and maintaining storage systems such as Pure Storage
· Developing and executing automation and scripting tasks with Python, PowerShell, and bash
· Using DevOps tools such as Ansible, Chef, Puppet, or Terraform to manage infrastructure and applications
· Monitoring and troubleshooting system performance and availability issues
· Managing core application technologies such as HAProxy, RabbitMQ, and Redis
· Supporting data science and research teams with JupyterHub and JupyterLab
· Administering and securing switches and network devices
· Collaborating with other engineers and stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions
