Responsibilities
· Participate in 24×7 coverage and support for critical systems, responding to production issues and coordinating escalation and post-mortem analysis
· Work with colleagues to investigate incidents to determine root causes and preventative solutions
· Manage an incident ticketing workflow from start to finish
· Monitor systems and processes for availability/performance and assist with the design and implementation of a unified strategic monitoring and alerting platform
· Understand and document the relationships between financial/business requirements and the systems and technologies that serve them
· Clearly document new and existing systems at a high level in terms of support requirements, upstream and downstream dependencies, and criticality to the business
· Communicate status of any ongoing issues to technology personnel, business leaders, and senior management
· Lead efforts to evaluate, test, and introduce new technology and approaches to the organization
Requirements
· Broad understanding of enterprise and cloud technology from the level of networking, operating systems, and cloud infrastructure through programming languages and application architecture
· 3+ years of experience in enterprise-level application monitoring, alerting, and response
· 3+ years of experience using (managing preferred) DevOps technology and processes
· Experience with a ticket management system like Atlassian Jira or similar
· Preferred: Hands-on experience leveraging the AWS and/or Azure cloud platforms
· Preferred: An understanding of Front and Back Office technologies utilized within a financial institution
· Preferred: Experience utilizing and supporting technologies such as SQL Server, Docker, Snowflake, Lambda functions, Terraform CDK, S3, Python, C#, Powershell, Bash, etc.
· Preferred: Familiarity with LogicMonitor, Azure AppInsights, or similar monitoring tools
· Preferred: Experience with change management and source control tools, such as git, Bitbucket, Bitbucket Pipelines, Jira, Terraform, and dbt
· Exceptional written communication skills
· Ability to thrive in a collaborative team-oriented environment
