What you’ll do

As an engineer supporting Back Office Technology, you will work with our Operations team to provide application, data, and system support. We work closely with most of the revenue-generating businesses of the Firm to build and maintain a vital and high-profile system. Specifically, you will:

Learn, support, and improve a variety of reconciliation and settlement systems, valuation engines, aggregation framework and data pipelines
Monitor system stability and performance and troubleshoot system or data issues
Innovate and improve system processes and tool sets to automate repetitive work and increase efficiency
Collaborate closely with developers and Operations colleagues to solve issues, prevent issues, and improve the system
Coordinate with other technology and business teams on production issues and high impact changes
Proactively communicate potential problems, jump on issues, engage relevant parties, and follow through with root cause analysis
Develop a quantitative understanding of reference data, market data

What’s required

Experience in trade life processes and knowledge about different asset types
Prior experience in financial industry working with back-office systems
Collaborative team player with excellent communication skills with peers and clients
Understanding of ITIL framework incident/problem/change management
Proficient SQL query skills
Proficient coding or scripting skills (C#, python, javascript, Powershell, batch, etc.)
Strong knowledge of Unix and Windows platforms
Strong troubleshooting, coordination, and problem-solving skills
Detail-oriented data analytical skills
Responsibility, multitasking, client orientation
Knowledge of cloud architectures and technologies is a plus.
