Citrix Engineer (Consulting)

The ideal candidate will lead with engineering of Citrix infrastructure components to support the business. The role will also need to have significant experience with Citrix NetScaler, Citrix Cloud, Citrix Infrastructure, Windows/VM management, MCS/PVS, etc. In addition to the above the candidate must be proficient with managing dell Wyse thin clients via cloud base solution.

Key Responsibilities:

· Will act as a subject matter technical expert for Citrix XenApp/XenDesktop administration and maintenance/operations/troubleshooting and all related elements

· A point of contact for all monitoring, troubleshooting and problem resolution of various components of the Citrix and application environment

· High level of capability in deployment, managing and tuning of Citrix Provisioning Services and MCS

· Upgrade, patch, and migrate Citrix components as required

· Gather and prepare well detailed documentation of environment and BCP plan for outages

· Mentor and provide guidance to junior members of the technical support team.

· Proficient with Dell Wyse Management on the cloud

Skills / Attributes Required

· Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a full time IT professional with specific experience in General and Microsoft core networking and server technologies including Windows Server OS, file storage shares, Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP.

· Experience with two factor authentication solutions, core Windows OS, Active Directory, Group Policies, Citrix Policies, Citrix XenApp/XenDesktop/Edge Sight/Web Interface/Store Front/Client Plugins/Receiver/Workspace

· Experience with Citrix Cloud, App Layering

· Experience with Machine Creation Services (MCS) and PVS

· Minimum 3-5 years in system engineering & virtual platform experience

· Minimum 3-5 years’ experience managing Citrix, Citrix NetScaler

· Minimum 3-5 years’ experience managing Dell Wyse Thin Client

· Strong scripting skills using PowerShell.

· Ability to research and recommend innovative and where possible, automated approaches for systems administration and IT related tasks.

· Demonstrated focus on team development and on-time project/solutions delivery

· Proven track record in adaptability, teamwork, problem solving, coaching, influence, strategic thinking, results orientation, leadership, and change management

· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

· Excellent written and oral communication skills
