Cloud Enablement Architect

We are seeking a talented cloud architect interested to lead delivering the critical public cloud infrastructure and designing/building a cloud platform the whole engineering organization at our firm is evolving towards. The team has several key responsibilities:

· Developing a Cloud Platform – Standardize and simplify the way our Engineers and Modelers use the public cloud to enable millions of compute hours and multiple terabytes per second scale

· Integrating Cloud Native Services – Evaluate vendor-provided products in order to design and integrate these systems into the firms ecosystem

· Security – Build security guardrails for the public cloud so the platform is secure with no risk of data exfiltration of our firms sensitive data

· Forward Deployed Engineering – Integrate with multiple teams to deliver business value through consulting on cloud native architectures and hands-on building cloud-based solutions

You will take on the following responsibilities:

· Drive the expansion of our firms presence in the public cloud

· Designing, develop, and evolving the core cloud infrastructure that enables product teams to deploy their applications and services in a uniform, secure, reliable and scalable way

· Deliver cloud education, support, and documentation

· Broadly evangelize public cloud

You should possess the following qualifications:

· 5+ years of experience as a software or systems engineer

· BS/BA or higher degree in a technical field

· In-depth knowledge and experience with the service offerings and workings of at least one Cloud provider like AWS or GCP

· Experience designing cloud-first solutions given product and project requirements

· Experience with creating platforms and automating processes through writing scripts or software

· Ability to engage and partner with multiple teams to deliver high-value projects
