We are looking for an experienced Data Warehouse Lead/Manager to join our technology team. This role will support our hedge fund operations by leading the development of a new, modern Data Warehouse. Responsibilities include scoping, planning, staffing, architecting, and managing the build-out. The role involves assessing use cases, understanding various domains, building relationships with data owners and technology teams, selecting appropriate technology and architecture, hiring the team, coordinating plans, and supporting the platform. Reporting to the Head of Data Technology, this position is part of a broader initiative to enhance the firm’s data capabilities. The platform will support regulatory reporting, reconciliation, historical needs, front office processes, BI reporting, and intraday record storage and replay.

Responsibilities:

• Hire & Manage Team: Collaborate with the Head of Data Technology to staff the team with the right resources.
• Client Management: Communicate with Technology, Operations, and Business teams to understand data usage, use cases, data storage, and reporting needs.
• Cloud Platform Management: Manage a data warehouse in the cloud, including architecture, cost management, CICD, and DevOps.
• Data Warehouse Architecture: Work with the Head of Data Technology on design, components, capabilities, reporting support, intraday and batch processing, and event-driven and scheduled processes.
• Vendor Selection & Management: Evaluate vendor offerings, select, and manage relationships.
• Prioritization: Gather critical use cases, design processes, set priorities, and create a delivery roadmap.
• SDLC: Oversee the process for ideation, testing, unit tests, deployment, Jira grooming, and delivery.
• Engagement with Supporting Functions: Coordinate with support, operations, and project management to ensure proper processes and controls are in place.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience in a similar role.
• Financial services experience, ideally with knowledge of Portfolio Management, Trading, Risk, Reference Data, Operations, etc.
• Buy-side experience (Multi-Strat/Hedge Fund preferred).
• Experience building and leading teams with various data warehouse technologies.
• AWS cloud expertise (services like S3, Lambda, Cron, Event Bridge, and operational experience with container management like Kubernetes).
• Experience in development and deployment process ownership.
• BI/Power BI integration experience.
• Proficiency in Python & SQL (hands-on experience required).
• Expertise in system and pipeline architecture.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication skills to work with stakeholders across technology, investment, and operations teams.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
