The ideal candidate will have a strong background in these technologies and a proven ability to learn quickly where needed. We’re especially looking for individuals with expertise in architecture, operations, and DevOps practices who can collaborate effectively with a global team to deliver high-quality solutions.
Key Responsibilities
– Architect, maintain, and operate a growing public cloud environment, with an emphasis on automating maintenance wherever possible.
– Lead the DevOps practice by engaging with teams across the technology department, driving continuous improvements in CI/CD pipelines and software release processes.
– Collaborate with senior stakeholders to define and evolve our strategies for software releases, containerization, and public cloud use. Clear and efficient communication will be key to success in this role.
Qualifications
– Strong academic foundation, with a bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
– At least 5 years of hands-on experience architecting solutions using AWS in a top-tier financial or technical firm.
– Expert knowledge of AWS services and security principles, with professional-level certifications (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect, Systems / Cloud Engineer, Cloud DevOps Engineer) being highly desirable.
– Demonstrated experience leading complex engineering projects. Familiarity with release and deployment management processes, preferably with tools like TeamCity or GitHub Actions.
– Proficiency in Ansible, Terraform, and Python scripting.
– Working knowledge of key technologies such as Kubernetes, enterprise containerization, Atlassian products (Confluence, JIRA), GitHub Enterprise for CI/CD, and JFrog Artifactory for package storage and security scanning.
– A solid understanding of DevOps principles to effectively bridge infrastructure and software development teams.
This role also involves occasional work in data centers, as well as on-call and periodic operational responsibilities.
