DevOps Engineer – Latency Critical Trading

The Latency Critical Trading team is building a high-performance infrastructure that will help to position our firm as a leader in the field of quantitative trading.

You will shape the future of this industry while you work alongside other exceptional engineers and strategists to solve some of the most significant engineering problems in the world.

Job Duties

Assisting in the development of a fully integrated testing platform for our low latency products and other products across the firm
Collaborating with software developers across teams and components to build automated monitoring and testing solutions and facilities
Contributing towards the team’s technical direction by driving new initiatives
Developing and optimizing large-scale parallel computation problems that require copious quantities of data shared across resources
Developing systems, interfaces, and tools for tick to trade, monitoring, and testing automation that help increase developers’ productivity and decrease production incidents
Works in parallel with Software Developers so that as features are added/changed in the existing systems, Monitoring and Test Environments are enhanced as needed to support the changes
Optimizing the platform by using network and systems programming, as well as other advanced techniques to build solutions that map exchange structure and internal solutions into a fully integrated and automated environments
Helping build and maintain our automated test and benchmark framework, risk-management, performance-tracking, and other tools
Working with development and support teams to adapt to exchange technical upgrades


BS or MS degree in computer science, related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
Experience writing code in C++, Python, or a similar language
A strong background in data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming
Ability to debug, optimize code, and automate routine tasks
Strong interest in SRE topics like SLOs, resilience, scaling, performance, and more
The ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
Ability to Containerize an Application and Build a Process Around Creating Containers and Pushing them to an Artifact Repository
Good Working Understanding of CI/CD and How Best to Implement CI/CD Practices
Understand General Networking Concepts, Connectivity, Systems Architecture, Disaster Recovery, Chaos Engineering
Hands-on Experience with AWS
