Overview: The Engineering Manager will lead a global team delivering core infrastructure and end-user technology. The ideal candidate is a general technologist with a passion for automation and team leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

Merge regional teams into a single global team taking ownership of various technologies and applications.

Design management systems leveraging JSON configuration files, GIT for change tracking, and Python for deployment.

Create projects for junior engineers to develop their automation skills and reduce operational workload.

Formalize role responsibilities for engineers, providing transparency around expectations, skills needed for promotion, and current responsibilities.

Reduce professional services spending through teaching engineers new skills and developing a culture of self-reliance.

Required Skills and Experience:

Experience with Windows, Exchange, OneIdentity, F5, Citrix, VeloCloud, CUCM, Zoom Video-Conferencing, Forescout, Radiator, Azure, Varonis, ZL Archiving, BlackBerry, AirWatch, and internally developed applications in PowerShell.

Proven track record in driving adoption of cloud services like Azure, OneDrive, SharePoint Online, and Office 365.

Experience in managing and extending SailPoint IIQ for entitlements, and creating firmwide standards for entitlements and roles.

Proficiency in using agile framework to develop a Project Management standard for technology teams and build PM tooling to generate reports, roadmaps, and graphs from JIRA.

Experience in analyzing business processes and developing automation around many enterprise systems (both cloud and internal) including: HRIS, GL, expense reimbursement, and procurement.

Experience in introducing a Jenkins based admin support portal to automate routine administrative operations.

SME for Kerberos, LDAP, PowerShell, telephony/UC, SAML, SQL Server, and AD to IPA integration.

Desirable Skills:

Experience in transitioning the firm from Windows 7/Office 2010/Exchange 2010 to Windows 10/Office 2016/Exchange 2016.

Proven track record in restructuring the Technical Services team to more efficiently align people into engineering and operations as well as provide a higher quality of support.

Experience in introducing Mac OS as an alternative desktop platform to Windows.

Experience in developing standard for deploying infrastructure and services to ensure HA, BCP, documentation, and operational handoff.

Experience in creating SLAs and metrics for the SysAdmin team to ensure timely servicing of requests and be able to generate reports from our ticketing system.

Experience in creating User Experience Working Groups to give users a voice and help define and prioritize future efforts.

Experience in hiring an operations manager and transferring support and operations.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
