What you’ll do
We are looking for a well-rounded Network Support Engineer to join our network support team to mitigate operational issues and assist in the execution of new procedures and implementations. Specifically, you will:
§ Serve as the primary escalation point for operational issues.
§ Partner with our engineering team to develop operational handoff to transition new initiatives into full operational support.
§ Work closely with vendors to ensure timely problem resolution.
§ Respond to emergency work requests, troubleshoot network failures and errors.
§ Diagnose, isolate, and resolve routine to moderately/highly complex network-related problems ensuring timely results and minimal disruption of operations.
§ Assist with developing, monitoring, and implementing network security procedures for safeguarding all networking systems.
§ Update documentation to ensure accuracy.
§ Interact with other Technology teams regarding new application deployments and service installations.
§ Assist/support other network related tasks/requirements as directed.
§ Maintain network monitoring tools to ensure reliability.
§ Participate in on-call rotation.
What’s required
§ Associate degree (or completion of equivalent amount of college coursework) in a relevant field.
§ 7+ years of related experience in network operations/engineering.
§ Strong knowledge of Cisco, Palo Alto, F5, and Cloud technologies.
§ Scripting in Python or Powershell _ extremely preferred
§ Troubleshooting skills and the ability to diagnose/resolve network system problems.
§ Ability to interpret and apply complex technical manuals and reference materials.
§ Project management experience
§ Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
