PRIMARY FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES

· Lead the design effort in support of the company’s wired and wireless infrastructure throughout our global footprint of data centers and offices.

· Optimize stability, availability, reliability, and performance of networking infrastructure.

· Lead or assist in resolving escalated incidents from our production support team.

· Collaborate with internal groups to achieve successful delivery and avoid/mitigate adverse outcomes.

· Define key reporting metrics to communicate deployment and network successes to the organization and executive management.

· Work with leaders and end-users across disciplines to select appropriate technologies to meet core organizational needs.

· Lead configuration and deployment of enterprise tools shared across the org, including initial and ongoing support.

· Actively communicate current issues, upcoming changes, etc. to staff in an easy-to-understand manner.

· Find opportunities for improvement within the network and make recommendations based on best practices and observations.

· Develop and train staff on best practices in their use of technologies.

· Develop and maintain support maintenance, procedural, and other documents for use by all levels of support personnel, as well as end-user documentation.

· Support, install, and configure network technology for data centers, remote offices, and remote employees.

· The ability to work in a team or work independently on complex tasks with minimal technical and management guidance is required.

· Must be able to meet deadlines and deliver status updates to project team on a frequent basis.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education: BS CS or Equivalent

Experience Required:

· 8+ Years’ Experience in Network Engineering

· CCIE level or Equivalent Experience

· TCP/IP, BGPv4, EIGRP, OSPF, Route Redistribution, HSRP, STP, LACP, VPC, NAT, DNS, and Packet capturing tools

· Software Defined Networking Experience. Cisco ACI and Cisco DNA center.

· Meraki Wi-Fi experience preferred

· Data Center architecture design.

· Knowledge of user authentication, authorization and Identity management products and technologies such as: 802.1x, TACACS, Radius, and Cisco ISE

· Experience with programming/scripting languages or tools used to automate networks (e.g., Python, Postman, API).

· Strong understanding of 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax, RF, and WLAN fundamentals.

· Knowledge of identity, access concepts and technologies to secure production and corporate access, such as SSO and SAML a plus

· Basic cloud deployment and operations (AWS/Azure) a plus

· QoS (including voice prioritization) a plus

· Knowledge of Palo Alto PAN-OS a plus

General Requirements:

· Excellent communication skills with the ability to work as part of a team or individually as required.

· Solid documentation skills with high attention to detail.

· Experience with taking projects from planning through to completion.

· Capacity to juggle a mixture of break-fix and project work, managing individual priorities and deadlines.

· Willingness to occasionally work flexible hours, or out of hours as required.

· Travel 0-25%
