Role Summary
Principal-level player-coach responsible for global network architecture, standards, and execution across KKR’s enterprise, datacenter, and cloud platforms.
This role blends deep hands-on engineering with technical leadership, mentoring, and vendor strategy.
Core Responsibilities
- Define global network architecture & standards
- Lead design and rollout of WAN, DC, cloud, and security networking
- Serve as highest-level escalation point for complex issues
- Mentor and guide senior & mid-level network engineers
- Drive automation and IaC adoption across network platforms
- Partner with security, cloud, workplace tech, and app teams
- Evaluate vendors, platforms, and long-term network strategy
- Own documentation, design patterns, and best practices globally
Required / Preferred Technology
- Deep Enterprise + DC networking background
- Expert in BGP, OSPF, routing policy, large-scale WAN
- Strong Cisco ecosystem experience (Nexus, routing platforms)
- Cloud networking (AWS primary; Azure secondary)
- Terraform / automation-first mindset
- Network security integration (firewalls, segmentation, NAC)
- Experience supporting financial services / regulated environments (strong plus)
