Role Overview
A hands-on senior IC / architectural role partnering with global infrastructure teams across
Compute, Storage, Network, Desktop, and Cloud infrastructure. This position was aimed at deep infrastructure problem-solving and architecture leadership, as well as influencing long-term platform evolution.
What They Were Looking For
Focus Areas:
- Technical thought leader on core infrastructure systems — including enterprise compute clusters, storage services, hyper-converged platforms, and hybrid cloud services.
- Partner with teams across enterprise domains (network, desktop, cloud) to build resilient and scalable platforms.
- Define infrastructure standards and best practices.
- Innovate solutions that support broad enterprise platforms and complex business systems.
Core Responsibilities
- Infrastructure Architecture & Strategy: Lead design of scalable, resilient, secure infrastructure across compute and storage layers.
- Innovation & POCs: Prototype and validate emerging compute/storage/cloud technologies.
- Mentorship & Team Enablement: Elevate technical capabilities and mentor mid/senior engineers.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Work with app dev, security, and ops teams to align infrastructure designs with business needs.
- Complex Problem Solving: Lead as the top technical escalation point on infrastructure issues.
Core Technical Requirements
- ~15+ years of experience in global enterprise environments.
- Deep expertise in enterprise compute systems, storage arrays, hyperconverged infrastructure, and virtualization.
- Expert-level skills with Public Cloud (AWS/Azure), automation (Terraform/Ansible), and OS services (e.g., Windows server).
- Proven history of leading complex infrastructure programs and delivering business impact.
