Department: Technology – Systems Engineering & Infrastructure
Start Date: Immediate
Job Type: Full-Time | Experienced Hire
Role Summary
We’re hiring a senior-level Linux Engineer to design, scale, and optimize core infrastructure that powers high-frequency trading, real-time analytics, and research workloads. You’ll engineer reliable, high-performance systems in collaboration with software developers, network architects, and research teams—building the next generation of low-latency Linux platforms.
You’ll be deep in the trenches of kernel tuning, bare-metal provisioning, performance debugging, and cross-team architecture design—all while working with cutting-edge hardware and automation stacks.
What You’ll Be Doing
Build Smarter Systems
- Engineer infrastructure using a modern mix of hardware (servers, switches, storage) to meet the scale and latency demands of real-time trading and research applications
- Contribute to the design and rollout of highly available and resilient compute environments Automate Everything
- Write and maintain infrastructure tooling (Python, Bash) to automate deployments, system upgrades, patching, and configuration
- Integrate systems with Jenkins and other orchestration tools to streamline bare-metal and VM provisioning
Tune for Speed and Stability
- Profile and optimize operating systems and network stacks for bandwidth and latency
- Apply low-level system tools (e.g., strace, tcpdump, sysctl, netstat) to resolve bottlenecks and hard-to-find issues
Collaborate Cross-Functionally
- Work closely with quant researchers, developers, and strategy teams to understand business-critical workloads
- Coordinate with networking and storage teams to deliver tightly integrated solutions
✅ What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- 5+ years of hands-on Linux engineering experience in performance-critical environments
- Strong understanding of system internals, I/O optimization, and kernel tuning
- Proficient in scripting with Python and Bash; experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins
- Skilled in debugging and performance tracing using tools like procmon, wireshark, or equivalent
