Senior Platform Engineer

Overview:
The Platform Engineer will play a pivotal role in modernizing our infrastructure. They will
collaborate with their colleagues across our firm to provide a robust platform that empowers the
companies Engineering teams to develop, deploy, and maintain applications efficiently and
securely. The candidate should bring an empathetic, collaborative attitude to all aspects of their
role and be willing to learn the things they don’t know on the job.
They will be a strong communicator who is as comfortable on the command-line as they are in
a planning session. You should have a passion to learn and drive the organization you work for
forwards through your dedication to organization and collaboration. Balancing technical
prowess with strategic thinking, the successful candidate will navigate through complex
environments to streamline and enhance our Platform Engineering capabilities, ensuring they
are robust, scalable, and seamlessly integrated into our broader technology ecosystem.

Responsibilities:

 Design, implement, and maintain the companies Kubernetes and containerization
infrastructure ensuring scalability, reproducibility, and efficiency.
 Manage cloud resources, infrastructure, and services using Terraform.
 Collaborate with software engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure our SDLC process
follows best practices.
 Work with our InfoSec team to create a platform that follows a secure by default
approach to application development and deployment.
 Work closely with Infrastructure engineers to seamlessly integrate our core technologies
into the common platform to provide easy integration to various internal systems.

Qualifications:

 Proven experience in Platform Engineering, Reliability Engineer, or Production
Engineering.
 Minimum 5+ years of relevant, transferable experience in a similar capacity.
 Strong expertise in managing cloud resources using Terraform.
 A comprehensive understand of DevOps principals and approaches.
 Proficiency with container technologies including Docker and Kubernetes.
 Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic
environment.
 Ability to collaborate effectively with data scientists, engineers, and business
professionals to understand requirements.
 Experience managing or working on large, complex projects with multiple stakeholders.
 Proficiency in any of the following programming languages: Python, Golang, or C#
 Understanding of SDLC tools like git, GitHub, CI/CD tools, and Helm.
