Senior Storage Engineer

Location:                                       Midtown, NYC

Notes From Manager:               “This role will come into the Firm and build out the existing Storage areas

into a well-functioning  storage platform , the cloud focus is AWS.

The role can sit in NYC or CT, Hybrid work ( 2-3 days a week ),

Total Comp:                                  $ 300 k – maybe 350 k for stellar candidate

Responsibilities:

·       Provision, manage, and optimize storage solutions, including SAN, NAS, and cloud storage.

·       Candidate Should have a strong background in Linux Administtration as most of the clients’ platforms are Linux in firm,

·       Implement and manage virtualization and containerization solutions.

·       Perform system monitoring to verify the integrity and availability of hardware, server resources, systems, and key processes.

·       Troubleshoot and resolve storage hardware, software, and networking issues.

·       Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation regarding system configuration and operation.

·       Collaborate with the IT team to ensure smooth and reliable operation of software and systems for fulfilling business objectives and processes.

·       Conduct research on emerging technologies in support of systems development efforts, and recommend technologies that will increase cost effectiveness and systems flexibility.

Qualifications:

·       Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

·       Proven experience with Linux server environments, including experience with storage provisioning.

·       Knowledge of SAN, NAS, and cloud storage technologies.

·       Familiarity with virtualization and containerization technologies.

·       Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage complex system issues.

·       Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
