Position Overview
Looking for a Senior Storage / Linux Engineer to join the infrastructure team. This position will report to the Head of Infrastructure and will be primarily tasked with managing the Storage environment, but responsibilities would expand into Linux and other areas of infrastructure as needed. This person would architect our next gen storage solution and will spearhead the global migration to the new storage platform. Looking for someone with at least 5 years real world experience, preferably in a finance environment or similar fast-paced workplace.

Requirements
– Extensive expertise in designing, implementing, and managing enterprise-level storage solutions, including SAN, NAS, and DAS architectures.
– Proficient in administering and optimizing Linux-based systems, with a focus on performance tuning and troubleshooting.
– Proven track record in leading large-scale storage deployments, from initial planning and architecture design to implementation and post-deployment support.
– Skilled in storage virtualization technologies such as VMware vSphere and storage area network (SAN) virtualization.
– Deep understanding of storage protocols and technologies, including Fibre Channel, iSCSI, NFS, CIFS/SMB, and object storage.
– Experience with cloud storage platforms (e.g., AWS S3, Azure Blob Storage) and hybrid cloud storage configurations.
– Knowledgeable in backup and disaster recovery strategies, including replication, snapshotting, and data deduplication.
– Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
– Proactive approach to staying updated with emerging storage and Linux technologies, and a commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
Nice to Haves
– NetApp experience both on-prem and in cloud-based solutions.
– Ansible or similar configuration management experience.
– Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash).
