We are looking for a Vendor Systems Administrator who will help provide day-to-day support and maintenance for third party systems and applications.
Responsibilities:
· Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
· Coordinate with external vendors to resolve technical issues and implement system upgrades.
· Implement and maintain automation tools and scripts to streamline operational tasks.
· Assist in the development and implementation of DevOps best practices and processes.
· Participate in the planning and execution of system upgrades and migrations.
· Document system configurations, processes, and procedures.
Qualifications:
· Minimum 5 years in a similar role within the financial industry, preferably in hedge funds or asset management.
· Experience in vendor relationship management, contract negotiations, SLA management.
· Proficiency in administering and supporting third-party vendor systems (e.g., trading platforms, risk management systems).
· Strong understanding of Linux/Unix and Windows operating systems.
· Experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (AWS preferred).
· Familiarity with configuration management tools such as Ansible (preferred), Puppet, or Chef.
· Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell.
· Knowledge of networking concepts and protocols.
· Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and proactive issue mitigation skills.
· Excellent communication skills for technical teams, traders, portfolio managers, and vendors.
