Windows Desktop Engineer – SCCM

You will take on the following responsibilities:

  • Architect, engineer, implement, and maintain Windows client platforms across physical and virtual endpoints to meet business needs and enhance user experience.
  • Improve, automate, and standardize our Windows desktop environment using PowerShell to ensure efficiency and scalability.
  • Lead all aspects of the lifecycle management including the vetting, packaging, and deployment of enterprise-level applications and drivers.
  • Leverage SCCM to develop desktop images and ensure operating system compliance by driving regular updates, including vulnerability assessments and remediation.
  • Participate in a daily triage and on-call rotation to address and resolve requests and serve as an escalation point for more complex issues in the Windows environment.

You should possess the following qualifications:

  • BS/BA degree in a computer science, engineering, or related field
  • Minimum 7 years of experience required; preferred 10+ years of demonstrable experience in building and managing Windows client platforms
  • Advanced knowledge of Windows 10 & 11 operating systems
  • Strong expertise in configuration management tools such as SCCM and Azure
  • Good understanding of Active Directory, DNS, Kerberos and Group Policies
  • Proficiency with using PowerShell to automate deployments, configurations, and monitor environments
  • Ability to solve hardware, operating system, application, and network issues
  • Proven track record in successfully leading and delivering large-scale projects in a complex enterprise environment
