Job Description
The Data Quality Analyst will ensure the accuracy, integrity, and reliability of our data by developing and
implementing data governance strategies, identifying data quality issues, and driving continuous
improvement. You will work closely with Data Engineering to onboard new carrier and self-insured clients,
validating customer data and ensuring proper ETL. With your proven experience, technical expertise, and
insurance industry knowledge across all lines of coverage, you’ll be instrumental in ensuring our data
meets the highest standards for our customers.
Key Responsibilities
β Leverage your advanced knowledge of property and casualty claims data to identify the best
usage of structured and unstructured claims data in current and future products.
β Utilize integration skillset to develop and implement API/scripting to obtain and process customer
data.
β Assist in the design and implementation of solutions leveraging reporting, dashboarding and other
data visualization techniques to provide analytical insights on existing data quality.
β Collaborate with engineering, data science and other teams regarding strategies to deliver timely
feedback on model predictions and data quality to our clients.
β Integrate governance practices across the organization to ensure data integrity and accuracy.
β Lean heavily on technical and process solutions to solve problems in scalable and sustainable
ways.
β Participate in efforts to develop rules around data standardization and see them through to
implementation.
β Identify gaps in the quality assurance and testing processes, generate solutions, and drive
continuous improvement.
β Work directly with clients to evaluate their data, map it appropriately for model consumption and
testing the data output in user interface before release to production.
β Contribute in an agile, collaborative, and fast paced environment.
Qualifications and Expertise
β 5+ years of experience working in or supporting the P&C insurance industry with emphasis on
commercial auto
β Experience in claims systems data integration, including Guidewireβs ClaimCenter
β Detailed knowledge of insurance principles, terminology, customs and practices in Auto, General
Liability and/or Workersβ Compensation (multiple lines preferred)
β Highly motivated individual who is adept at working independently and comfortable collaborating
across teams
β Proficient in evaluating claims data to identify trends and anomalies
β Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to listen to customer needs, translate them into
actionable solutions and take ownership of ensuring timely resolution
β Extensive experience constructing narratives with data
β Proficient in SQL (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL)
β Demonstrated ability to concisely present and communicate complex information to technical and
non-technical audiences, including executives
β Skilled in developing working relationships and interacting effectively with all levels of the
organization
β Experience with analytics tools (Informatica Cloud, Athena, Alteryx, Superset, Excel, etc.)
β Ability to quickly adapt to new or changing situations, requirements, or priorities
Additional Preferred Skills
β Fluent in Python, R, SAS, Java, or Scala
β Skilled in Informatica regarding data cleansing, standardization, and quality
β Insurtech experience
β AWS certifications or proficiency in using AWS products
β Experience with Jira/Confluence
β Experience with Google Workspace
